I wrote the article during and after two visits to Kathmandu.
The first visit was my Easter holidays vacation a few weeks before the Gorkha earthquake struck near the capital city in central Nepal on April 25, 2015.
The second visit came as part of an Emergency Response Unit to assist the local community and society with Logistics support.
I wrote the article after a visit to Kathmandu valley in December 2021.
The visit came as a wish to follow up on the humanitarian aid and development that International organizations, governments, institutions, and agencies have supported the country with after the Earthquake of 2015.
I wrote this during my stay in Phnom Penh in 2012-2013.
It was a result of need assessments for poor and vulnerable families with the purpose to develop rural communities’ capacity to adapt to immediate environmental change, and to improve the access to clean water and establish sanitation facilities to minimize health threats and build resilience to natural disasters and outbreaks of water-borne diseases.
